Eliminate Pests From Your Home And Your Mind

It’s difficult to eliminate pests if they’re in your home. You may spend lots of money and time trying to get rid of them. Use the advice given you to tackle your pest problem before they have taken over.

Are you having trouble with fruit flies returning even after taking measures to remove them? The problem may be with your drain. Try taping some saran wrap over your drain for a day or two and watch if fruit flies pop up. If you see some, the next step is to pour boiling water down it and scrub the drain thoroughly. Doing this should get rid of the fruit flies completely.

Are you dealing with an ant infestation? Mix borax and sugar to eliminate them. Sugar attracts them and borax kills them. To make it, simply get a quart jar and put in one cup of borax with a cup of sugar. Poke holes through the lid and then sprinkle the mixture around the foundation of your home and along baseboards.

Check your home for hidden standing water. Pests are drawn to pools of standing water. Make sure you have no leaky pipes and keep all standing water under control. If you eliminate water sources, you will eliminate a lot of pests.

If you have a water leak, fix it. Pests are drawn to water sources. Some pests can actually sense that water is dripping from far away. You do not want to be invaded by pests in your home. Use a little elbow grease to stop the leak, or call in a professional plumber who can do the job for you.

As the above article stated, it’s a lot easier to get annoying pests into your home than to rid yourself of them. Hopefully you have learned enough here to keep those pests at bay. If you already have a problem that you can’t deal with on your own, consider hiring an exterminator.
